Does anyone know where i can find a boat rudder for back of my 12ft sun dolphin? My last one is laying in bottom of triple J lol…..seems like saw someone on here that made them or if anyone knows where can get one let me know please….i got a rudder that mounts on trolling motor not sure if thatll help….let me know if anyone knows

There was a discussion on May 20, 2015 about sun dolphin boats that incuded some info about rudders. Philip Chapin is an expert on these boats and has made great improvements to them. Not sure if he is still a member. He sent me pictures that helped a lot. Have since gotten a different boat

I fished with jay and we used the rudder for the first time. Everything about this thing is awesome! Lightweight, sturdy, and a game changer in the wind. I liked it so much that I'm interested in one for my 8’ Sun Dolphin.

I'm curious about the rudder. I fish out of my boat on these lakes but fished Heartland once where you have to use their boats. Control was somewhat a issue, they were Jon's with T motor in front and his lakes are pretty rough with timber. I always thought if I fished there again I'd come with some kind of makeshift rudder. Do you think it would improve steering.
