Fish Finder

I know there have been a couple post in the past about fish finders and I have gone back and read through them. I see they were about 1.5 years ago and I wanted to see if there was anything new that has come out that people are using now. I do not have a boat and use the club boat when I fish. I would like to get a fish finder to start learning how to fish off shore more. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Deeper Pro+ will be useful to you both on the bank and on a boat, just get the kayak mount too and you should be able to put it on the jonboat.

Scott,

Not all of the newest innovations are found on the smaller units that are easily transported to use on club boats.  I personally have only GPS, Chirp sonar, and structure-scan so I'll let guys who have more advanced technologies speak about what's new and most useful.  As for mounts, a sturdy kayak mount is portable and adaptable (but get a sturdy one that can take the speed of an electric motor).  If you have your own trolling motor, consider mounting your transducer to it and placing the head unit on a block of wood or ammo box.
