I have an Eagle Fisheasy portable fish finder. It takes 8 D size batteries. It is a grayscale screen as color was not available when I was young. It does a good job on depth and structure. I'm not to sure to this day on marking fish. I may get some false reading. I hardly ever use it as I have my favorite locations on the sites I fish today. I was thinking about an upgrade for another toy. I mention to Gloria about one with GPS capabilities and she laughed so hard. She said you are going to mark locations in a lake the size of a bathtub. Then I told her we could mark our car in parking lots by this time she was crying as she was laughing so loud. So I took it off the Christmas list. I guess the problem is spending time with the fish finder and fine tuning it. As soon as I get to the water it is time to fish. So my finder today is now a package of senkos.

here is the Hummingbird RF 10 very portable fish finder... i am posting this cause it is great for carrying to use in your own boat , or club lake boats , and is great for bank fishermen, cause the little green thing in picture is a WIRELESS gizmo that you can clip on your line and drag it behind your boat OR cast it out and slowly reel it in and it will send the signal to the main unit and give you a picture on the screen of contour, brush, depth,, its exactly like one you would mount on your boat except it frees you up.. its portable and runs a very long time on 4AA bateries.. i have used mine for many years and could not do without it.. i posted this a few months ago, but thought i would repost it for some of the new members like Jay.. i think Jay could have used one of these over the weekend on Bennett.. hope yall google this up, get you one and see how great they are...
