Russell,
You will need to have 4 wheel drive to get to the lake and launch a boat if the roads are wet.

Thanks Seth. Considering how few chances I get to fish anymore, I'll rent a 4WD truck this time. That last 1/8 mile of the journey will be expensive, but essential

I have a trip planned early next week to Hat & Star, and it looks like rain before and maybe even during the trip is pretty likely. Looking at the satellite imagery of the property, the first road off the highway looks like it might be at least in part rock/pavement, and the road that runs along the south side of the lake looks like grass, but pretty level. Anyone have any experience there when it's been really wet? Is it a 4WD-only situation?
