Tom Dillon passed away on Saturday September 14th. Tom loved to bass fish and was a huge supporter of PWF. Tom was one of the most detailed members to grace our lakes. He took notes with painstaking detail on when (down to the minute), where (within the lake) and what (the exact lure name, size and color). Tom always had lots of questions about each trip. He planned, double checked and then triple checked about the details of each trip. Moreover, he was happy to share, teach, and give back to the PWF family!

Tom, you will be missed!

I will miss Tom's report and knowledge he passed on to us. My prayers will be for his family.

I never had the privilege and honor to fish with Tom.  I just loved reading his reports, he was so detailed in the time, the lure choice, rod selection, location on the lake and the specifics of the bass he caught. In reading his reports I could feel his love for fishing and the outdoors.  He will be missed at my breakfast table as I sit drinking coffee and reading and enjoying his wonderful reports.

I regret that I never got to fish with Tom although we had talked about meeting somewhere to fish together when it got cooler.  What impressed me about Tom was his willingness to share knowledge and techniques via e-mail with club members he had never met.  He was a true sportsman.

I am sorry to hear of Tom’s passing! What a gentleman! I was impressed by his fastidious reports after each outing, and reached out to him to tap his extensive knowledge, when I was just getting into bass fishing back it 2016 (the year I joined PWF). He unselfishly offered me great advise and was extremely helpful in providing me with input on fishing strategies concerning Cody Ranch (prior to my first group trip experience at Cody in the spring of 2017)! The trip was a success, and his tips on S. Twin and Moonshine were spot on! 

I never got to fish with him but his reports always stimulated my new found passion for the sport! 

I will miss his contributions to our forum pages! I hope he is reeling in DD’s in heaven!

I didn't know him other than he posted some really good, detailed reports and seemed like a great member of PWF.  RIP Tom.

Since Tom & I both lived in Coppell, we planned several trips that sadly, got cancelled for one reason or another.  I met with him a few times to pick his brain about fishing and learn more about PWF.  He was a wealth of information!

I had the privilege to see his detailed notebook (as well as his "tackle box boat") at his home one day.  Tom logged every bass he caught over 4 lbs. since the early 70's!  It was truly incredible.  The amount of gear Tom carried in his boat was legendary!  He will be missed.

Thoughts and prayers to his family.  Rest in peace Tom.

Tom and I had talked and texted for several years and I am glad we finally met at Cody Ranch. My prayers for the family.

That’s sad to hear.  Tom was the first member I fished with.  We both enjoyed fishing Cody ranch. I had the pleasure of fishing with him several times on different pwf properties.  We would email regularly on different topics not just fishing.  Tom always had way to much gear in a small boat.  I can’t recall how many times I had to say, “hey tom you got a rod hanging in the water.” We hunted for one he dropped in pecan gap for about a hour, before we found it.  Tom was a friend, and he loved pwf.  He will be missed.  This is a picture of a 7lber he caught while we were fishing at Cody ranch.

Sorry to hear of his passing. He was a generous friend I always admired and great fan of PWF. He will be missed.

Don't know how I missed this last month. Always enjoyed the detail in his reports and was amazed how many hours straight he would "stay after it".  Let's us all know how short life is.  RIP Tom.
