Worm blades

Does anyone know if you can get Talon worm blades locally.  I have been buying them at  tackle warehouse.   Those healthy bass at JerMar just shake the senko off the hook and there goes the worm blades.

Second thought, about 12 years ago it seemed like a lot of fishermen were throwing a mister twister sassy shad on a jig head.  Is anyone still throwing this combo?

dont use the Sassy Shad for many years since i found the Luck E Strike Magic Shad.. i tried many a swim bait for years and settled on the Magic Shad.. the tail action is better than all the many others i have tried... i dont hear much about these , but once you try, you are hooked on the tail action... and i get great hook ups because the body is slim and not reall bulky .. the others i tried would always bunch up on the hook set..Robert ,ive been hearing about the tail spinner on senkos, but havent tried yet.. i can see where you would go through a lot of them , because the senkos do seem to wear or tear easily.. i guess the material they are made of is what makes them so effective but the con is lack of durability.. i too get a lot of my stuff at tackle warehouse.. grab a bag of Magic Shad on next order and let me know what you think.. use a weighted screw lock hook, and watch that tail action.. i catch big fish on the 3.5 inch ones.. seems i catch more on the 3.5 that the 4 ..  PS.. I saw that Cabelas has the worm tail spinners, if that helps any..

Way back in the 70s, I was a field tester for Mister Twister. The first time I tried a Sassy Shad on a 1/8 oz jig head, I won a bass tournament on them at Lake Pend O'Reille in northern Idaho.I then moved to Arkansas, where I caught a 7-pounder from the base lake at Little Rock Air Force Base. I used them successfully for several years, and then for some reason, just wandered away from throwing them. I still have a dozen or so, but virtually never use them. Perhaps that's a mistake on my part.

They were hotter than a fur coat in Marfa.  Everyone was throwing them.  I think I'll dig around and see if I still have some in one of my plastics bags. I think the sassy shad I threw was chartreuse with a black back.  I guess the magic shads have replaced them.  I also remember tossing a lot of spoons years ago and you hardly see that anymore.   Plus an inline spinner called ABU Reflex was a smallmouth killer in orange, yellow or white.

Funny how the human lures change.  The tackle companies always changing to entice us and not the bass.  My old Ray Roberts fishing buddy would get crank baits from Japan with  16 coats of lacquer on them. I use to ask him if the Bass could count.  Then he shut up and give me an hour of peace and quiet.

FUNNY Robert,, im same way.. i still use the lures i did back many years ago,, i think i should get up to date , but then i end up tying on the same old thing... i also remember the in line spinners, and spoons... i figure if everybody keeps throwing the new fangled stuff , the fish will keep hitting my old fashion stuff..  on one of our lakes couldnt get a bite one day and put on an old beetle spin and caught fish all the rest of the day

The last time I fished Saba that was the only lure they were hitting. I watched Timmyhortonoutdoors several years ago and a friend of his showed him that set-up and I have made my own since then.

What color have you been using?  I looked at them at tackle warehouse but wanted to make sure I got the right color. The Luck-E-Strike.

Robert. I use a 6" senko in motor oil and motor oil with red fleck with  keel weighted hook. The spinner is gold in several lengths.
