With all of the recent rain and resulting soft ground, we opted not to drive off the gravel.  We hunted the west side of the lake rather the metal blind on the east side.  Multiple groups of divers would circle a number of times, but most did eventually commit to the decoy spread.  The bulk of the birds came in during the first 45 minutes.  We weren’t quite on the X, but we did have plenty of action.  Our bag consisted of all ring-necked ducks and a bluebill.
