A number of birds were in the area, but were flying high and were going predominantly to the north.  The species observed were gadwalls, wigeon, ring-necked ducks, and green-winged teal.  For the ducks that did land on the lake, there wasn’t any particular place that they preferred to be so the ‘X’ couldn’t be determined.  A couple of green-winged teal were bagged.  Some excitement was added when a few geese were called in without any goose decoys.  They landed just outside of shooting range beyond the duck decoy spread.
