You know you’ve had a special day enjoying prime conditions when birds are still landing in your spread while you’re in the water picking up decoys. The colder temps after the split combined well with the drizzle and the fine property at Malouf to result in limiting out in less than half an hour after legal shooting time.

which blind did you hunt out of
Neither one was used. The hunt was done via layout blind on the eastern side off the most southerly point jutting out into the pond. Note that with the water being low, one needs to be mindful of stepping off into the channel. A bird dog or boat is recommended for bird retrieval in that section of Malouf until the water level rises again.
