Pretty sunrise; temperature was around 43 degrees, clear skies and a mild south wind which picked up some during the morning.   Set out a few dozen decoys near the blind and harvested 3 ring necks from the flights that came in.   A few small groups of mallards dropped into the small pond just northeast of the main pond but none came to us.   We heard a fair number of gun shots in the distance, presumably a neighboring property, which was encouraging.
