Tear Drop Lakes – Peaceful Waterfowl Hunting in a Natural Setting
Located on the same property as Bluebonnet Ridge and Mesquite Valley, the Tear Drop Lakes offer an intimate, self-guided waterfowl hunting experience across three scenic lakes: Upper, Middle, and Lower Tear Drop. Each lake provides excellent habitat for ducks and other waterfowl, perfect for small hunting groups seeking quiet, productive hunts.
Upper Tear Drop (4 acres): Open water with light vegetation—ideal for mallards, gadwalls, and teal. Easy blind setup from bank or dock.
Middle Tear Drop (5.5 acres): The hunting blind is located here. Largest lake with diverse habitat and strong bird activity, especially after fronts. Great for mixed species.
Lower Tear Drop (2.5 acres): Shallow and secluded—perfect for teal and early-season hunts in calm surroundings.

Second time hunting, nice property, A few groups came in. We picked up 5 teal.

We saw a couple of pairs fly by before shooting time. Then it was quiet.
